Bad Company Rodeo brings the Back in the Saddle Tour 2010 to the Poteet (Texas) Strawberry Festival.
The Poteet Strawberry Festival® is one of the oldest, most popular events in the state of Texas. It is recognized as the largest agricultural festival in the state as well as one of the most exciting, dynamic festivals in the Greater Southwest.
Held annually in April, the festival has fourteen areas of continuous entertainment featuring concerts with nationally known Country Western and Tejano stars, dancers, gunslingers, clowns, puppets, regional bands, various contests, and rodeo performances. There is something for the whole family.
And it wouldn't be the Poteet Strawberry Festival without berries grown right here around Poteet. Our berries boast a juicy sweetness you won't find anywhere else! Most of our local growers have been producing award-winning strawberries for generations. See who takes top honors this year at the Berry Auction Saturday afternoon. The Taste of Texas Food show is another big draw. Originally started to fund scholarships for area students, the show is open to cooks from age 6 and up. Held on Sunday, the Foodshow attracts people from all over Texas and has been featured on various TV shows. Visit the Foodshow page for details.
Finally, it wouldn't be a true Texas festival without a carnival. Alamo Attractions is in "The pursuit of WOW!" and it shows every year with new, exciting rides and games. Featuring over 50 rides for all ages, the carnival is always a hit!
